Start:4/26/2017 7:00:00 PM
End:4/26/2017 10:00:00 PM
Description: About the Talk Change Management and User Experience aren’t traditionally seen as complementary fields when in fact, change management is crucial to the success of a UX project. Time and time again, UXers have seen product owners and other stakeholders be resistant to change - and while that is expected, what are some ways we can navigate this roadblock? And what about when designers themselves are resistant to change? At times, designers can fall into the trap of ignoring user feedback, blinded by their own preconceived notions. It is the responsibility of both the UX Designer and Change Management Analyst to champion user feedback, create an awareness and challenge biases that do not reflect the feedback, and encourage development that best serves users, stakeholders, and customers - all while working to deliver an incredible product. About the Speakers Hareem Mannan: UX DesignerSarah K. Park: Change Management Analyst  Hareem and Sarah will share insights into their roles in the design process, how to navigate biases, and how two consultants from different areas of expertise came together through shared goals and a surprising number of commonalities in their methodologies to champion the user, the product, and the experience above all else.
